Rebuilding is growing in Biloxi
Thursday, October 02, 2008Many homes are being rebuilt in the post-Katrina Biloxi at a much improved rate. The number of new building projects has increase from 145 a year to 1,000 a year since Katrina. However, there is vigorous debate over where to rebuild much of the land. They have a unique opportunity to make some of the roads and developments more efficient, as well as avoid some of the costly mistakes of the past. This will mean more sturdy structures and less buildings being placed in flood zones.
The Casinos will not be affected.
